Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are commonly used in salads, soups, stews, and curries. Rich in plant-based protein and dietary fiber, chickpeas provide a nutritious option for vegans and vegetarians.
You can have them roasted as a crunchy snack, blended into hummus, or incorporated into Mediterranean and Indian recipes such as falafles or chana masala.
Use 100g of chickpeas per serving. Soak for 12h in cold water. Transfer to a pot with 3 times the volume of water. Bring to a boil, cover, and let it simmer for 45-60 minutes while stirring from time to time.
