Maple syrup
As a French-Canadian myself, I just could not not have maple syrup in my catalog! Maple syrup is made from tapping a maple tree for its sap, boiling that sap down into a syrup, and then cooling and bottling it.We've all seen pancakes drizzled with maple syrup, but generally speaking, this is a nice alternative to honey, especially if you're vegan or have IBS.
Usage
Als je ahornsiroop schimmel begint te krijgen, kun je hem redden door de mal eraf te scheppen, de ahornsiroop aan de kook te brengen en het proces vervolgens één keer te herhalen. Zodra het is afgekoeld, breng je het over in een gesteriliseerde pot (deze moet droog en schoon zijn).
