Red lentils

Split red lentils are decorticated and split, and they have the fastest cooking. Because they break down while cooking, red lentils are perfect for dishes like soups, stews, curries and dips.

Usage

Use 60g of lentils and 3 times the volume of unsalted water per portion. Rinse the lentils then add to a pot of boiling water. Let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit, uncovered, until the water is absorbed.
