White basmati rice
Basmati rice is a type of white rice commonly grown in the Himalayas, India, and Pakistan. It is a long-grain rice that is popular in rice pilaf and as a side dish for curry.
When cooked properly, the tender grains remain individual and lack stickiness.
Usage
Use 50g of rice and twice the volume of water per serving. Rinse the rice then add to a pot of boiling water. Cover and let it simmer for 12-15 minutes until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
